Prompts (5)

In clients that support MCP prompts (such as Claude's slash menu), the connector provides five ready-to-use workflows:

  • black_friday — Plan Black Friday shopping with a list and budget.
  • small_business_saturday — Find independent and member-owned businesses near a town or ZIP code.
  • cyber_monday — Check online deals against recorded price history and search independent sellers.
  • holiday_gifts — Build a gift list from independent makers within a per-person budget.
  • check_my_cart — See who owns each item on a shopping list and what is cited or withheld.

Example Questions to Try

  • "Who owns Doritos, and what source does Shoptegrity cite for that?"
  • "Check my cart: Tide pods, Dawn dish soap, Doritos."
  • "What are employee-owned or co-op grocery options?"
  • "Find merino wool socks under $25 from independent sellers and check whether the prices are real deals."
  • "Are there verified price drops on blankets from independent sellers?"
  • "Plan Small Business Saturday in Minneapolis, MN."

How to Read the Answers

  • Sourced or withheld: We state a factual claim about a named company only when it has a linked primary source (such as an SEC filing, agency record, or official release). Otherwise the field is null or reads Withheld: no cited source yet. Withheld is a gap in our records, not a negative finding about the company.
  • Grades and ratings are opinions: Composite scores, grades, and tiers are Shoptegrity's opinion under our published methodology, not measurements of fact.
  • Price-history checks: Deal verdicts describe prices Shoptegrity observed once per day (requiring at least 7 days of prior observations). They are not claims about a seller's intent.
  • No commission ranking: Tool results carry no affiliate links and are never ordered by commission. See Disclosures.

Security, Privacy & IT Admin Notes

For IT administrators and security reviewers evaluating this connector for workspace approval:

  • Read-only by design: All 14 tools only read public reference data. The server cannot place orders, move money, or modify external state.
  • No credentials or authentication: Users do not sign in, link accounts, or pass tokens.
  • Data received: The server receives only the parameters of a tool call (a brand, product, or coarse location name/ZIP). It does not receive conversation history, user identities, files, or assistant memory.
  • Third-party queries: When responsible_alternatives or check_deal is called, the product query or product ID is sent to Shopify's Global Catalog API to fetch current merchant listings. All other tools query Shoptegrity's local database on the server.
  • Log retention: Tool inputs are not stored in a database. Standard service connection logs (IP address, timestamp, request path, status code) are retained for 14 days for operational security and then automatically deleted. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
