Agreement
By using shopteg.com or the Shoptegrity connector you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
What Shoptegrity is
Shoptegrity is an informational and public-policy research service. It shows who owns brands and businesses, and lists local, independent and member-owned options, using public sources.
- Sourced or withheld. We publish a factual claim only with a linked source. Anything we cannot cite is marked Withheld: no cited source yet. A withheld value means we have no cited source, not that the answer is unknown or negative.
- Grades and ratings are opinions. They are Shoptegrity's opinion under our published methodology, not statements of fact about any company.
- Not advice. Nothing here is investment, financial, legal, medical or tax advice. Check the cited sources and decide for yourself.
- Errors happen. Sources change and mistakes occur. If you find one, tell us and we will withhold the claim until we can cite it.
Using the website and the connector
You may use Shoptegrity for personal, educational and ordinary commercial research. You agree not to:
- overload, disrupt or attempt to break into the service, or get around any limit we apply to it;
- use the service to harass, defame or target any person or business;
- present Shoptegrity output as a statement of fact when it is marked as an opinion or withheld;
- send us personal, financial or confidential information through the connector. See our Privacy Policy.
We may limit or suspend access to protect the service.
Content and sources
The facts we show come from public sources that we cite, and those sources belong to their owners. You may quote our pages with attribution and a link. Please do not copy the site wholesale. Company and brand names are the property of their owners and appear only to identify them.
Links, affiliate relationships and third parties
We link to outside sites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. Some links are affiliate links; every one is listed on our Disclosures page, and commissions never affect a grade, rating or recommendation. Prices, availability and terms are set by the seller, so confirm them before you buy.
AI assistants
The Shoptegrity connector works inside assistants made by other companies. Shoptegrity is independent of those companies, and nothing here implies endorsement by them. An assistant may summarize or rephrase our results, so check the cited source before you rely on a point.
No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.
Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Shoptegrity and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
